The James Bond experience in Paris. If you happen to be in Paris, a James Bond enthusiast, or simply a…
So you haven’t been invited to any fashion shows, but you still want to be part of the game ? We’ve got you covered.
Remember, during Paris Fashion Week, all of the fashion “gratin” (from models to editors) are in town, which means it’s a prime opportunity for photographers to capture the best street style of the city. Fashion is much more than an Instagram picture; being fashionable is not a job or a career, but a glorification of your body as a human being.
Here are a few things to do during Fashion Week:
It might sound easy, but in order to be featured in Vogue or any other magazine, you need to pay attention to the schedules and locations of the shows. You can find this information on the Fashion Week website or by following fashion journalists, influencers, and reporters.
2. Head to the hottest spots in the city, such as L’avenue Montaigne, Place de la Concorde, and Place Vendôme. Book a table at one of the prestigious and festive restaurants!
After the shows, celebrities want to party or have a nice dinner in a charming Parisian restaurant. Here are my top six recommendations:
- Boeuf sur le toit
- Bar du Plaza Athénée
- Maison Laperouse
- Gigi Paris
- Mondaine de Pariso
- Bonnie (from Emily in Paris)
(Of course, your outfit should speak for you.)
3. Sharpen your fashion sense and knowledge.
You’ll enjoy visiting places like the Dior museum, the Jacquemus boutique, or reading fashion magazines and books from the drugstore on the Champs Élysées.
4. Attend fashion shows from the comfort of your home.
Since most of the shows are live and published on Instagram or the designer’s website, you can relax, invite a friend, and watch the latest trends while enjoying some foie gras and croissants. But do not forget to make it fun and glamorous, if anything fashion is supposed to be enjoyable.
Remember, the devil is in the details. If you want to stand out during Fashion Week, pay attention to your style, your attitude, and your surroundings. Bonne chance!
